Sunday night Julia and I had the pleasure of watching the VCU Fashion Department showcase the designs of their many talented students. A packed house at the VMFA watched over 190 looks come down the runway and there was no shortage of applause. We saw spectacular, sheer gowns, nude embellished catsuits, day dresses and a pair of embroidered jodhpurs that were to die for (see detail below) and more of the amazing menswear line previewed earlier here by senior Margaret Arlow who showed her well crafted denim and leather separates. Sheer was the word of the night and we loved the daring of some of the looks. There was no shortage of color either as you will see in my snaps below.
We were thrilled to see so many Modelogic models on the runway do thing their thing and had a fantastic time in general. Thanks again goes to the wonderful Deidra Arrington, Donna Reamy, and Kim Guthrie from the fashion department for always including us in this great night ( and the great seats 🙂 )
Congratulations to all the students and faculty on a job well done!
