Last night was standing room only at the VCU Fashion Department’s annual juried show. Held at the VMFA in the gorgeous Cochrane Atrium, the show, titled RAW, was filled with beautifully crafted pieces that were artful, striking, and inspiring. The design students created clothes for different segments, such as hip-hop, day dresses, cocktail, resort and more. The models, many of them from MW and many VCU students, were all spectacular on the runway. Innovation and creativity ruled the evening, with students using sustainable fabrics and showing off superb tailoring. VCU Fashion pulled off a wonderful show with New York quality production design and great music. Congratulations to all the design students who showed, the fashion merchandising students who pulled it together and the Faculty of VCU Fashion on their huge success.
